Gary Warden Mini-Biography (2017)

Born on September 23rd, and the youngest of four sons and a sister, Gary is father to Duncan and Collette. Gary Warden has been a professional actor since he was seventeen. Growing up in Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky, Gary won a four-year university theatre scholarship and "cut his acting and directing teeth" under the direction of award-winning playwright and mentor Ken Jones. Nominated twice for the prestigious Irene Ryan Actor award, Gary graduated with a BFA in Theatre, Stage Direction, with an accent on Fight Choreography from Northern Kentucky University. "Give me thirty seconds or thirty minutes – whatever…my job is to affect emotion and entertain, be it drama, comedy, or improvisation." says Warden. From the slapstick comedy of Lone Star to the drama of feature films like Aftermath, Gary has become well-renowned as a highly adaptive lead and ensemble actor.

Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gary’s career has spanned diverse roles in various media. His national film credits include supporting actor roles in OUTSIDERS (WGN with David Morse), MINDHUNTER ( Netflix Original), Don’t Tell (with Alison Eastwood), Aftermath (with Arnold Schwarzenegger / Scoot McNairy), and Artworks (with Virginia Madsen). His theater credits include roles with Tony-Award Winning Artistic Director Edward Stern (Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, King Lear), Cincinnati’s award-winning Women's Theatre Initiative as Bunce in One Flea Spare, supporting actor to Mark Lenard in the world-premier of The Beast, and a repeating role as Daddy Warbucks in The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati’s version of Annie. National and regional commercial credits include: Procter & Gamble’s Fabreeze, 84 Lumber, Chevy Trucks, Swiffer and Carpet Flick, Time Warner Cable, The Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Bell, Subway, Skyline Chili, The Indianapolis Colts, Scope, Sofa Express, Donato’s Pizza, Bigg’s, Giant Eagle SuperMarkets, The West Virginia Lottery, and Penn Telecomm. Trade film credits include: Hewlett-Packard, Radisson Hotels, and Lexmark International.

Special Skills: Combat (Rapier & Dagger, Quarterstaff, Hand to Hand, Broad Sword, Falls), Professional Improvisation, Dialects, Rugby, Comic Animal Imitations, and he is Certified in Boating Safety.
